On the occasion of the New Year 2025, Mr. Mohammed Amin, CEO of the Rohingya Centre UK (RCUK), shared a heartfelt message reflecting on the key milestones of 2024 and expressing hope for the year ahead.
Mr. Amin began by acknowledging the challenges faced by the Rohingya people in the past year, saying, “2024 was a year of significant moments for the Rohingya community. It reaffirmed the urgency of our cause and highlighted the power of unity in advocating for justice, dignity, and lasting solutions. Despite the obstacles, the resilience of our people has been truly inspiring.”
He emphasised the importance of collaboration, stating, “This past year taught us the value of strong, coordinated efforts in times of adversity. As we enter 2025, RCUK remains dedicated to being a leading voice for the Rohingya diaspora in the UK and beyond. We will continue strengthening our global advocacy and partnerships, aiming to bring about real change in the humanitarian crisis we face. Together, we must prioritise education, human rights, and sustainable development to help rebuild lives and empower future generations.”
Mr. Amin also called for continued solidarity from allies and supporters, saying, “Our mission requires unwavering commitment and collective action. Let 2025 be a year where we amplify our voices and strengthen global solidarity, ensuring justice, accountability, and a secure future for the Rohingya people.”
He concluded his message by extending his best wishes for the New Year, adding, “Let’s step into 2025 with hope and determination, knowing that together, we can overcome even the greatest challenges. Together, we can build a future of dignity and opportunity for all.”
