International Day of Solidarity with the Rohingya People
June 3 @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM UTC+0
Event Overview:
Join the Rohingya Centre UK (RCUK) for the International Day of Solidarity with the Rohingya People 2026, observed annually since 2012. This day highlights the atrocities, human rights violations, and systemic persecution faced by the Rohingya People.
This date, chosen for its meaning and significance to the Rohingya people, is based on the call by Rohingya civil society organisations for an annual observance of the Free Rohingya and Free Arakan. The day is dedicated to preventing the invisibility of the Rohingya as a people, whose rights, identity, and land have been systematically denied and taken by the Myanmar (Burma) authorities.
The event will feature speakers, cultural presentations, and community-led discussions to mobilise international support, encourage accountability, and promote the protection of Rohingya People rights, dignity, and culture.
Who Should Attend:
Open to everyone — community members, students, professionals, and anyone committed to human rights, justice, and refugee advocacy.
How to Attend:
To confirm your attendance or for further information, please email: info@rcuk.org.uk at least a week before the event.
